About this project:
On one of the most visible harbor sites in Amsterdam, this new public library is both elegant and imposing. Access to the building is by rail, foot or bicycle. A grand stairway that leads to an atrium space on the ground floor functions as a transition area to the upper floors of the library. A cafe on the lower floor provides views of the Oosterdok.
