upper level garden that absorbs and treats runoff with trombe wall to the left and Mt. Hood in the distance. The trombs wall serves as a giant solar air heater and reduces the buildings heating requirements in the winter.
About this project:
The US Green Building Council awarded this building their highest platinum certification for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. This is the first medical and research facility to have achieved this distinction.
