About this project:
This Spanish-style Cathedral complex is massive but subdued on the exterior with sandy concrete surfaces. An enormous bell tower presides over the northeast corner of the property. Robert Graham designed the main entrance doorway to the church, Lita Albuquerque created a graceful waterfall sculpture, and Lalo Garcia created a outdoor shrine to the Virgin of Guadalupe. Light floods the sanctuary area through alabaster casings producing a soft glow throughout the interior spaces.
