Métro Porte des Lilas near Jardin Serge Gainsbourg
Paris, France

overview from adjacent plaza
About this project:
The roof of this bus transit stop resembles a folded rectangular piece of paper like a paper airplane. It is supported by pipe columns on the open side that are arranged asymmetrically, some are leaning while others are vertical. It has a compelling shape providing a focal point at its location in a small square. The gold, lacquered-steel pavilion near it is called "Lilas' Pavilion" and contains interests cut-out patterns in the facade that give it a circus feeling. It is the Paris Public Transport System’s office building.
